Iceland: The Ring Road

I’m a few days into this Iceland adventure and let me tell you, it’s been an adventure.

Landing at 9:30am. Passport control and car rental and I didn’t get out of the airport until 2!

Then groceries, some food (since IcelandAir doesn’t serve meals), and driving to my first stop of the night. By the time I got in, it was 8PM. Just enough time for a shower and setting up my bed. Finally sleep at 11 ish.

Yesterday, I had a small itinerary which included whale watching — I saw about what I saw in Alaska in April. And then getting to my campsite around 5. I set up my tent, dinner was PB&J on crackers, and was crashed by 8.

And this morning is where all the fun was and it deserves its own post.
